Salary £75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Head of Finance on behalf of a well-established, family-run UK manufacturer based near Stevenage. Paying £75,000 - £85,000 plus bonus, this is a genuinely influential leadership role where you will take ownership of the finance function and work alongside the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to shape the next stage of growth. With new finance systems recently implemented, it is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to move the function from operational reporting to strategic insight. This is an office based position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and longer-term projections
• Give the MD and leadership team clear insight, modelling and scenario analysis to guide commercial decisions
• Keep tight control of margins, profitability, cash flow and working capital
• Build management information, dashboards and Board reporting, getting the most from Xero
• Lead and develop a small finance team while strengthening controls and audit readiness

What Experience is Required

• Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA preferred; ACA/ACCA considered)
• Proven experience leading the finance function in a growing SME, ideally moving it from operational to strategic
• Hands-on Xero experience with strong budgeting, forecasting and modelling skills

Salary & Benefits
£75,000 - £85,000 depending on experience, plus a Senior Leadership Team bonus, a monthly rewards scheme worth up to £400, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off, paid sick leave and a 24/7 health and wellbeing helpline.

Location
Stevenage, Hertfordshire, an easy commute from Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Baldock, Knebworth and Hertford.
